Benazir Income Support Programme Check Balance by CNIC

After enrolling in the Benazir Income Support Programme, your next question may be how to check balance by CNIC. Taleemi Wazaif beneficiaries often inquire about checking Benazir Taleemi Wazaif online using their CNIC. Curiosity about this question was also on my mind.

I have researched and found three methods for checking new payments of BISP. We will go through each method one by one. If you are enrolled in the BISP programme, you will need your CNIC to check your balance.

How to Check BISP Money by CNIC?

The CNIC is required for every method. I will do my best to guide you through all the methods of checking BISP money, both online and offline. You can choose any of these methods based on your convenience.

Check Balance by ATM

I will provide you with information about banks that support BISP, but first, let’s check the balance using an ATM. We will use an HBL biometric ATM to describe the procedure. Make sure to have your CNIC with you when you go to the ATM.

  • Go to the nearest HBL biometric ATM.
  • Select the option ‘Scan your thumb’.
  • Choose your preferred language, either Urdu or English.
  • Select BISP from the menu.
  • Enter your 13-digit CNIC number.
  • Place your thumb over the bimetric device (Thumb scanner).
  • Select ‘Balance inquiry’ from the menu.
  • The ATM will display your account balance.

The process of withdrawing money using an ATM is the same, with some additional steps. Now you can check your BISP balance using your CNIC and ATM. For further information, you can continue reading about other methods, but this method is commonly used.

Check out this comprehensive guide with a video on how to withdraw BISP money.

8171 sms service

Check Balance by SMS

This method is the easiest one. You can check your balance from your mobile using SMS service. The first method is rather long, but this one is as simple as a single click.

You are required to send your CNIC number to 8171. Make sure that the number is correct and there are no spaces or dashes. 8171 is also used to check eligibility and other information. However, please note that this service may not always work.

Check Balance Online

Just like the 8171 web portal, there is also a portal to check the balance online using CNIC. You can visit this portal through the BISP official website or I will provide you the direct address. Access the portal using this link: https://dli7.bisp.gov.pk/.

On the BISP official website, you can select the BISP beneficiaries portal from the portal menu. Unfortunately, this portal is not currently working. I will inform you when they resolve the issue.
