Benazir Taleemi Wazaif – New Updates 2024

Education is a fundamental right of children. In Pakistan, it is challenging for some parents to cover the expense of their children’s education. Is there a way to get primary to higher secondary education, without imposing additional financial burden on parents? Good news! You have an opportunity to get an education, with the help of an education scholarship.

The government launched BISP (Benazir Income Support Programme). This program helps the children to get their education by providing Benazir Taleemi Wazaif. Let me explain to you all about this wazifa and how you can get enrolled in this programme.

Note: The mother of students must be enrolled in the Benazir Kafalat Programme (The Basic Programme of BISP).

This program is linked to the Kafalat program. As noted above, the mother must also be part of the BISP program. To check your mother’s eligibility, visit this page. The child must meet the following age criteria:

Education LevelAge

After deciding that your child is eligible for this scholarship, you need to know the registration process. If you follow the steps one by one, the Registration or enrollment process will be a piece of cake for you.

Benazir Taleemi wazaif registration process

The BISP official website does not provide an online registration facility. You need to visit the BISP office in your area for registration. Follow the above steps for registration, because it is the only way to enroll in this education scholarship. Maybe in the future, they will provide this facility.

Visit BISP official website for more details.

The unofficial websites providing forms for online registration are fake. You are thinking about why I am so sure about this. The reason is that I experience these unofficial websites. I have warned you about these registration forms, now the ball is in your court.

The app you are searching for does not exist. Read carefully, I am going to spill the beans. BISP apps on the Play Store are not official and they will annoy you with ads. You do not need to install any app for registration to this programme.

Payment Releasing Details

After successful enrollment in Benazir Taleemi Wazaif, first quarter payment releases for students. The first quarter means the first 3 months. They release payment in quarters (every 3 months).

After the first quarter or first 3 months, they analyze the student’s attendance. If the student’s attendance is more than 70%, the organization releases the second quarter payment for students. The process goes on and they release payment in every quarter.

Note these two points, if you want to keep continuing scholarship. Students need to maintain attendance of at least 70% to continue the scholarship. You also need to inform BISP of changing schools.

Stakeholders

Stakeholders, involved in the programme, are persons or groups. They play crucial roles in ensuring the success of the programme. The information about a list of the main stakeholders involved in the execution of the programme is given below.

  • BISP
  • Provincial Education Departments
  • Schools
  • Donors

Key Process

Now, you will know how they manage this programme. How do they verify that a person is eligible or not? It is not easy to track everything. There are 5 key processes involved in this programme.

Micro Supply Capacity Assessment (MSCA)

BISP collects data from provincial education departments. These departments play crucial roles in the development and improvement of education. After collecting data, MSCA evaluates data into useful information about schools.

This process gives information about the school such as capacity for new students, infrastructural conditions, accessibility, and catchment area. The catchment area is the geographic area from which the school gets its students.

Social Mobilization

Social mobilization is an activity that is conducted by BISP offices. BISP beneficiary families understand the importance of education through this activity. A BISP beneficiary is a person who is enrolled in any BISP programme.

A team visits the beneficiary family in his area and makes up their minds to enrol their children in school and college. If the student attendance is low, the team tries to find out the problem and motivates them to increase attendance.

Registration and Enrollment

Registration for this programme is a major process. This process begins after the first two processes, the MSCA, and the social mobilisation. They invite the beneficiary families to the nearest registration office for communication. They also communicate on a public level through the media.

After the successful registration of eligible children, they become beneficiaries of this programme. If you are interested, please check the feedback from schools about the Benazir Income Support Programme.

Admission and Attendance Compliance

Admission to school or college and at least 70% attendance are co-responsibilities of students. The management transfers cash on condition of compliance with these responsibilities. Let’s cut to the chase and discuss the objectives of this process.

  • Identify beneficiary children who have complied with responsibilities and qualify them for cash transfer.
  • Identify beneficiary children who have not complied with responsibilities and trigger alerts in such cases.
  • Suspend beneficiary children who have not complied with attendance responsibility back-to-back 3 quarters.

Case Management

Case management is the process of handling complaints of beneficiaries. Mainly, BISP offices are responsible for handling complaints. Beneficiaries can file a complaint about deductions in their amount or any other issue. They respond as quickly as possible to complaints. Following are the good effects of this process.

  • Improve the implementation efficiency of the programme.
  • Increase the confidence of BISP beneficiaries to enrol their children in schools and colleges.
